This is a side project of mine just for fun. I thought i'd put up some images as i go. The image below is the begining. I'm not exactly sure what it is yet, although it almost looks like an engine on some crazy spaceship. I just thought i'd let my imagination go. any comments and suggestions welcome.

well, that's really interesting!
I hope you posted this in "Tutorials" intentionally, cuz i would really like to know how you did that glow, and what kinda material you used for the bubbly-looking stuff in the middle. Did you use an environment map??
