6.5.6 FZ running on 10.5.2 Duo core Intel Mac laptop. When I try to import an image map the dialogue box fails to respond to any of the general importing commands with the result that your only option is to force quit. The force quit dialogue box doesnt say that FZ is not responding. This happened last night but fixed itself (?) after I tried relaunching using different files etc. Has anyone eles had this?

This may have to do with a known Apple bug in 10.5.X. There are I think past threads on similar problems with what you are having. I am guessing here but do try a key word search.

Yes, as Dan suggests, there are a few bugs with Leopard that Apple has not yet fixed with 10.5.2. We have reported these to Apple, and hopefully they will fix them soon.

On first inspection removing the entire DAE folder which contains the Xerces file seems to work. Will let you all know of any developments.

Simon,

This will not eliminate the problem, and this problem could occur with any application (at least until Apple fixes it). However, removing the SketchUp Frameworks does make the problem occur much less frequently...
