To all formZ Vista users,

The automatic update process for Windows Vista is currently a work in progress. (These patches can still be downloaded manually from the Patches section of our web site.)

Alternately, you can first run the automatic update, and access these patches from:

C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Temp\formZ Scratch.

1

From within this folder, Run the FZPATCH.exe, select the .pat file, and finally select your formZ application.

(In the event that you have any difficulties running the Patcher Program, delete the patch.ctl file. If you delete this file, everything will be patched, but the patcher will not give you the option to keep your previous installation, and it will not rename the formZ application folder with the updated version number.)

We expect that the automatic patching process for Windows Vista will be available soon.

Thanks,

That also fixed my annoyance of the application asking me to insert a disk into the CD drive.

Hi !

I get an error when trying to use the auto update from version 6.1. I have now tried to find the 6.1.1 patch on your website without any luck ! Is it just me or .... Could you please give me a direct link.

Thanks

Jesper

Jesper,

We are still creating and testing the 6.1.1 patch page. For now, go to your:

Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Temp\formZ Scratch

folder and you should find the patch and patcher files that you need. Does this work for you?

Nice to see that the Place along line bug it corrected.

Jesper,

Glad that you got it to work. Did you originally try this step?

Gentlemen,

We have now adjusted the automatic patches for Windows Vista. This will now work properly as long as you are logged on as an administrator. We are still working on getting this to work with a non-admin account (but Vista will still require you to enter the Admin Password...)
