ZWebTech,

I've created a copy of an animated view thru the views pallete. I can see all of the keyframes of the new view. I do not however see the associated splines I need to edit the EP & COI. Are these two views (the original & the copy) now sharing the set of splines generated with the original?

Can an animated view be copied this way or no?

KSB

KSB,

The Copied View will use the same animation paths as the original view. If you want to create a similar animation that you can edit via manipulating the curves, Duplicate the curves, and animate the eyepoint and center of interest of a new view along the duplicated paths using the Animate Along Path tool.

Does this answer your question / do what you want?

ZWebTech,

Sounds like it will. To verify your instructions, I create a new single view at the start point, then animate this new view along the duplicated paths. I've not used this tool yet. I'm not sure how to set the EP and COI to follow their respective paths. I'll check out the animate along path tool and see if I have any more questions.

Thanks for now.

KSB,

Yes, this is generally correct. You can save any view that you like (with the same view type -- and angle if it is a perspective), make it visible, and then click on the Eyepoint of the view and then on the path you want for the eyepoint with the Animate Along Path tool. Then repeat for the Center of Interest.

ZWebTech,

O.K. I'll give it a go and see how it works. Thanks again.

KSB,

This has been fixed with formZ 6.5.4 and later.
