I am wondering if there is a second posibility to shortcut the show controls, because if one uses a external keyboard on the mac one can't use the function keys, because they are occupied by the system defaults play/pause, next song and so on.

There was a second pick tool in the earlier versions of formz 7, where I applied a shortcut at that tool. This was quite handy and accelerated the design process a lot.

Thanks.

Hi Alexander,

Welcome to the forum!

Yes, you can set up key shortcuts for almost everything. For standard tools (as you noticed) you can just right click on the tool and choose Set Shortcut. For Menu Items, you can choose the menu item while holding down the Command - Option (Mac) or Ctrl - Alt (Win) keys. And these -- and other commands can be set via the Edit Menu: Key Shortcuts command:

1

(Above you can see where to set the Show Controls...)

And if you don't use the system commands, you can always disable those via the System Prefs...
