Hi.
I´ve been using formZ 7 for a few weeks, and it´s great!

However, it seems to be increasingly unstable on my computer. The undo function stopped working, and menues dissapear from the workspace. Some come back when restoring the workspace, some don´t. i have not saved a personalized workspace yet, just been using the default. I´ve also had crashes more and more frequently over the last week.

Anybody else having similar problems?
Can running formZ 6.7 on the same computer cause trouble?

Dear Brynjulf,

It should be fine to run formZ 6.7 and 7 on the same computer at the same time. From what you have posted above, we can't tell why you might be having trouble. Which operating system are you using, and if it is Windows, what is the date of the video driver?

Also, any further details you can give as to what you are doing when the problem occur, and / or a screen capture of what you mean by the "menus disappear" will allow us to get these issues identified and solved more quickly. Please let us know so we can help.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I´m running windows 7 professional, 64 bit. The video driver is updated.

Problems haven´t occured doing anything special, the program just acting a bit worse for every launch. I attach two sceenshots, one with the warning when undo/redo stopped working, one with the menu with missing tools. They are actually missing in the menus, not just the workspace.

Are the settings stored in a particular folder, so i can manually go and delete the file? So i can reset back to time of installation - because resetting workspace now doesn´t make any difference.

Brynjulf,

Try this: Quit formZ, go to C: Users: [USER]: App Data: Roaming: autodessys -- and rename the formZ 7.0 folder.

(If you don't see App Data, go to the Windows Explorer: Tool Menu: View Tab and Show Hidden Files -- if necessary.)

Now relaunch formZ. Does this fix it for you?

If not, Delete your current Program Files: formZ Folder, decompress the RAR file that you downloaded once more (or download it again if necessary), and copy the new formZ Folder back to your Program Files.

Do either of these fix it for you?

Great, glad that fixed it for you. Can you please zip and send the folder that you renamed so we can see what might have caused this issue in the first place?

This issue has been corrected in formZ version 7.1. A pre-release version of 7.1.0 is now available.
