What's the best way to create a level 2 version of a symbol from the level 1 version and still keep the same handle and origin? V5.5.2 Craig |

Craig, There are probably many good ways to do this, but here is the first one that comes to mind: Get a New Model and Place the desired Symbol at the origin. Explode the symbol, and make any desired changes. When you are done, select all, select the new level of the symbol (from the Symbols Palette), get the Symbol Define tool, enter 0 and press Return (to define the origin of the symbol to be the same as the previous level of the symbol). Does this do what you want? (Does anyone else have a better way?) ZWebTech Support |

Ztech, This is similar to what I was doing, except I never thought about typing an xyz value instead of a click to place/create the symbol... This works great! Thanks... |
