If you currently have an unexpired trial copy, you can return to the same link from where you downloaded the trial version previously and download an updated trial. (what did i say? i mean, fortunatly i am on vacation with my three lovely kids!!) and the tech team is also lucky because no annoying bughunting threads from me. (but i will be back - chasing them ... i mean the bugs) see you all in two weeks. michael p.s. just finished my project - and did not get too much sleep, so all i say is in a kind of delirium. |

Hello bonzai3d support team; The first time b3d make the update by itself, it asked for back-up of previous version, I chose No, and it gave an error which I don't remember. In the second time I force the update process, I chose to back-up the previous version, but this time I got the error on the attachment. What's going on? I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate ed.

Mehmet, If you go to the link in the first post you can re-download the updated trial copy, just fill out the form again. Then you will have the 1.1 version, and you can register this one or continue your trial. |

OK, thank you render monkey, but as a registered user, do I have to repeat this process all the time? This should be working properly, right ;) |

Mehmet, Patches generally work properly unless something in the folder has been removed or corrupted. Once you get errors while patching, you know something is wrong, and unless you fix whatever this is, you will continue to get errors (so patching again is futile). Generally just "reinstalling" and patching once more will fix it, but as Rendermonkey notes, you can just download the updated version and skip the patch as well. (Your choice...) Tech, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! These improvements are VERY appreciated!! (Message edited by bob on August 01, 2009) |

I downloaded the update from the site. Perhaps you still had the old download in your cache? (If anyone else finds it downloads immediately and it's still the old one, clear your cache and try again...) |

Mehmet, We are looking into why bonzai3d may not have patched correctly on your Vista machine. Please clear your download cache and re-download the Trial copy and register it to have a registered copy of the current version. Thanks for your report. |

Joe, If you get an error while patching and you did not make a backup, you will need to reinstall before applying the patch again. (Or you can download the updated trial version...) |

Hi Folks, For what it's worth, I also got an error when patching on Vista Home Premium when choosing one of the two options (could not remember which one). I quit back out, re-launched b3d and chose the other option and it patched fine. Should have paid more attention that night. Working fine, though. Later. Steve |

Well, I've tried both options a couple of times. Totally removed the Bonzai folder, copied from the dvd every time, cleared my internet cache...no success. |

Josephus, Sorry to hear you are having trouble. You do not need to patch the download, this is the 1.1 version. You should only have to register it by choosing Register form the Help menu. If you cannot get the 1.1 from the Trial download page please call tech support at 614-488-8838 so we can help. |
